Nokia C2-00

NOKIA C2-00 REVIEW

The Nokia C2-00 seems like a mid-range phone from the nineties at first, but this modest handset actually makes a lot of sense, and use. Being a dual-SIM, dual-standby phone is the obvious highlight: you can have two active phone lines in the same device. Nokia's first full dual-SIM phone, comes with Bluetooth, a microSD slot, a multimedia player, FM radio, VGA resolution camera, a 3.5mm audio connector, and in addition the standard sales package includes a Nokia WH-102 stereo wired headset. The display is a basic 1.8" 128 x 160 pixel panel, and network support is limited to dual-band GSM with GPRS data only, and the operating system is Series 40. Both SIMs are active at the same time, so it really is like having two phones at once as user can decide which SIM to use when dialling out. The second SIM is hot-swappable through a slot in the C2, so it can be inserted when the phone is on. The C2 also comes applications for personal information management, plus an email client and web browser. The multimedia player can cope with MP3, WMA and AAC formats, 3.5mm audio socket. C2 has up to 4 hours talk time and 16.5 days standby time, weighs just 74 grams and measures 108 x 45 x 15mm.It available in gray, black, magenta, blue and white color schemes. Dual-SIM is usually the domain of no-name brands, and the few models signed by top makers are well worth a look. Because when you need to make a lot of calls on a shoestring, nothing beats the likes of the Nokia C2-00. The Nokia C2-00 software package offers extras such as an Expense Manager app - a relevant addition to a budget-minded phone. There's also an English-Chinese dictionary built-in (this feature is region dependant) and an app that will give you tips on how to use the phone.
