SONY TABLET S 3G REVIEW

Sony's official website the 3G enabled device has been long awaited after Sony first announced it would be on its way. The Sony Tablet S 3G is powered by a Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU processor with 1 GB RAM. The device also has 16/32 GB internal storage + SD (up to 32 GB) and a 9.4-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen ( 800 x 1280 , 161 ppi ) display. It has a 5MP rear camera and supports Wifi, GPS and 3G. It packs in a Non-removable Li-Ion battery at 20.6mm device thickness and weight 625g, running on Android OS, v3.2 (Honeycomb), upgradable to v4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). What will be interesting to see of course is just how successful the 3G model really is, studies have suggested that when purchasing a tablet, portable internet connectively is not as high on the consumer wish list as one would expect. The NPD Vice President of Connected Intelligence has recently suggested that not only is there a ‘Concern over the high cost of cellular data plans but that more consumers are finding that Wi-Fi is available in the majority of locations where they use their tablets'.
