Sony Xperia C

SONY XPERIA C REVIEW

Sony is expanding their Xperia line of Android smartphones with new additions on the mid-range category. Sony Xperia C is one the newest Xperia member and it comes with 5-inches of display for the bigger world of entertainment. Yet another addition to the Xperia family is on its way; this time known as Xperia C. Although the features sound familiar as having been introduced in the previous Xperia versions as well, the combination is what sets the new handset apart. In other words, the features are neither entirely low-end nor completely extravagant—it is a mixture of both, also Sony Xperia C price in Pakistan will be competitive. The phone carries the same signature design of all Xperia phones with a rectangular body. However, the classic transparent strip near the phone’s bottom is gone. The menu, back and home controls are still present at the same point as in predecessor models, but no longer on that beautiful see-through strip. Manufacturers have added more sleekness to the new phone by attempting to make it thinner. At 8.9 mm, Xperia C is much thinner than the S and P models measuring 10.6 mm and 10.5 mm, respectively. However, the thinness cannot be compared to the extraordinary 7.9 mm Xperia Z. Xpera C also fails to hold a candle to another upcoming wonder by Sony, Z Ultra, with its amazing 6.55 mm thickness. Xperia C does, however, promise something worthwhile for all future buyers: a superb 5 inches display. Unfortunately, there is nothing more than the size of the display which can be looked forward to. The screen has been designed with an average resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a rather low 220 PPI of pixel density. Moreover, the TFT capacitive technology is also entirely outdated when compared to the rapidly advancing display technologies of rivals. Sony’s own famous LED back-lit LCD, found in several of its models including Xperia P and S, would have been a far better option for the new Xperia C. The phone has been provided with astonishing processing speed, by its manufacturers, through a Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and MTK MT6589 chipset. The performance would definitely be satisfying. Jelly Bean 4.2.2 is one of the most exciting features of Xperia C. Not only will the phone perform better with Google’s latest Android OS, but also offer a range of updated apps which can be downloaded from the Play Store. Battery is another amazing specification of the gadget matched in power to Sony’s high-end Xperia Z. In fact, Xperia C carries a slightly more powerful 2390 mAh battery for longer talk time and stand-by duration. The 8 megapixels, LED flash, face and smile detection, autofocus and HDR are what you get from the primary camera of the phone. Therefore, the photography equipment is satisfying enough. The inbuilt photo editor gives you highly valuable options for great photos. A VGA secondary camera is also available. Use it for your own self-portraits or for video chatting. With its mixture of low-end, average and high quality features, Xperia C also allures buyers with something more exciting. It is going to be a dual-SIM phone on the 2G GSM network. Therefore, you can enjoy two networks on the same handset and at the same time.
