Everything You Want To Know About Blue-Ray Disc (BD) Technology With Brief History

Blu-ray Disc Association a group of worlds leading electronic manufacturers had jointly developed new disc named Blu-ray Disc not Blu-ray. Blue-ray Disc is a high density optical Disc. This disc was developed to store large amount of data on a disc. This disc have 120mm diameter & 1.2mm thickness.

DVD uses 650nm red laser diode while Blue-ray Disc uses 405nm Blue laser diode. The laser is known as Blue but the actual color is violet. The blu-ray Disc have capacity to store more than five times data of DVD'S. Blue-ray single layer Disc can store 25 GB data, Dual layer disc have 50 GB storage capacity. 3 layers of Blue-ray disc can store 100 GB of storage. Blue-ray Disc Association is working on further developments in it. Recently Pioneer have developed a Blue-ray Disc which have 500 GB storage capacity with 20 layers.

This is a very big development by Blue-ray Disc Association(BDA). Worlds 200 largest electronics, Personal computer, Music, Games companies currently support this format. From now you will see all movies, audios on this Blue-ray Disc. This is a best source of storing date. This development is giving hint to us that in future this discs can be used in computers, laptops on the place of Hard Discs to store the data on 17th December 2009 Blue-ray Disc Association officially announced 3D specs for Blu-ray Disc.

We have been using Compact Disc i.e. CD from it was commercially available since 1982. A compact disc (CD) have capacity to store 700MB data. CD is available at low cost in market. Although CD is a good medium to store the data was demand of higher storage was raised. In 1995 Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) was developed with better storage capacity. A DVD can store 5 to 10 times more data than CD. A DVD can store 4.7 GB on single sided single layer Disc. Single side dual layer DVD and Dual side single layer DVD have storage capacity up to 8.5 GB & 9.4 GB simultaneously. If you have dual side dual layer DVD then it can store 17.08 GB data.

Now in this century demand High Definition (HD) video is raising. To store this type of high quality data you need more storage. Blu-Ray Disc (BD) is providing 25 GB to 50 GB storage on a single layer disc. You can easily store HD videos on Blu-ray disc (BD). There is no other format is available to provide high quality storage.

Applications of Blu-Ray Disc (BD):

• Mass Data Storage
• Professional Storage
• High Definition Television Recording
• High Quality 3D Videos

Use of Electromagnetic Cards

In this modern technology world credit cards have acquired a necessary service. Our society is moving towords cashless transactions by use of these credit cards. In this article I am writing about types of credit cards and their information. This credit cards take important role in our life for saving our valuable time. This services are available 24 hours so customer can use it when they want and there is no time limit.

Credit Cards :
Credit card is a generally electromagnetic card which is made up of plastic having a small chip integrated circuit on its surface and associated with the customers bank account. This card is issued by the bank to customer with an agreement. Credit card have customer name and bank account number associated on it. This card is valid up to the validity mentioned on the card, credit card is also embossed with a specimen signature panel on the reverse. There is a fix limit for purchase each month that is informed to customer by the bank, Credit card purchasing limit is known as 'Card limit'. There are many different credit cards we are mentioning some of them here.

Debit Card :
This card is acts like a credit card but the difference is that when you make a transaction by using a debit card your funds are immediately taken from the account. This debit cards are secured with Pin number that is when user uses debit card it will ask for Pin number and Pin number stands for Personal Identification Number.

Charge Cards :
In this type of card service customer can use his card for a specific period that is one month. All the transactions made in the mont have accumulated and total amount have charged i.e. Debited from the account. Credit card holder is given period of 25 to 50 days time to make transactions. History Of Telephone Communication System

Telephone is an instrument of transmitting human voice over a distance using wires or radio by converting sound vibrations into an electric signals. The word telephone was originated from the Greek words 'tele' means far and 'Phone ' means sound, so telephone means sound at distance or to a distance. Telephone provide the common method of talking to people at a distance. An art or science of construction a telephone is known as telephony.
Alexander Graham Bell (A Scotsman who settled in the united states ) invented the telephone in Boston, U.S.A. In 1876 Bell, Watson, Gardiner, Hubbard and Thomas Sanders formed the Bell telephone company in 1877. In 1878 the first telephone exchange opened in New Haven,U.S.A. In 1880. The American Bell Telephone Company was formed. The first commercial long distance telephone line opened in 1881, 72 kilometer between Boston and Providence, Rhonde island, U.S.A. In 1891 American scientist Almon B. Strowger developed an automatic step by step switching system. In 1897 the first dial telephone become operational. In 1907 electron tube was developed and was adapted as an amplifier in 1912. In1947 the transistor was invented. This tiny device require less power and space is used in 1955. In 1961, Bell scientist developed LASER to communicate on cables. In 1960 United state began launching communication satlite. In 1970 International Direct dialing began operating between New York and London. In 1980 a first optic system for transmitting local calls are used in 1990 cordless, cellular radio and cellular mobile telephones are developed in 1990,s different value added services are added to telephony and an International computer network gets fully developed and everything becomes available with a click of mouse.
Telecommunication is the transmittion as well as reception of information in the form of voice, data, video or images across a distance over a medium from transmitter to receiver. The word 'Communicate ' comes from the Latin root meaning to make common. Telecommunication networks carry information signals among entities which are geographically for a part and entity may be a human being, a computer, a machine, a telephone . In telephone conversation the one who initiates the call is known as 'a Calling Subscriber' or 'calling party' and the one who receives the call or the one whom call is made is known as 'a called subscriber ' or ' a called party.'
