● Download hike from get.hike.in from your device. Install app on your device & read terms-conditions of service then click "Accept and continue".
● Installation:
Write your name,date of birth and select gender. Here you have 2nd option to connect facebook with hike also. Now click on "Next". Now you have done the installation successfully. After installation of hike you will get 15 Rs talktime + 100 free sms.
● Add Friends & Accept:
To add new friends just go to "Friends" and click to Star+ (*+) in front of contact name you want to add as a friend in "People On Hike"
To accept friend request just go to "Friends" and accept or open his/her profile to accept.
● About Chat Screen:
On the top of screen brush is a collection of Themes which makes your conversation colorful. You can share photos, videos, Audio files, Location & Contacts by "Attach" drop down menu near brush. On the bottom of the screen there is a "Sticker" tab on left hand side. Share cool & amazing new stickers to your friends. On the right side "Emotions" Tab & "Mike" is there. Send emotions and voice sms to your friends. Just click the mike and hold to record then send it.
● Group Chat:
You can create group chat with your friends. Go to "Friends" and tap on "New Group Chat" Now add your friends and and enjoy hiking. Group chat have 50 members capacity.
● Updates & Hide Last Seen:
You can see updates from your friends on "Updates" timeline. Only your friends can see your updates and last seen notification. You can hide last seen from Settings-Privacy.
● Update Your Status With Moods:
Go to "My Profile" from top of your screen. Click on "Status" button and share your status with friends.
● All India Free SMS:
You can send free sms across India to Non-hike users.
You will get 100 sms free when you join hike. Free sms meter is also there on the top of screen. You will get 100 sms free on first day of each month. Earn 50 sms when someone join hike by your invitation.
● Earn Free Talktime From Rewards:
Invite your friends to join hike by sending them invitation from your hike account. You will earn 20Rs for each person join hike by your invitation. Fill the "Hike Meter" from "Rewards" and Recharge your number anytime.
● Clear Conversation/Delete Threads:
Hike conversations are just like your inbox. As there is no "Clear Conversation" option available so you have to delete each message separately. Use "Delete" for single conversation.
For group the owner should end the chat by deleting group and start new group each time. Members of the group have only "Delete & Leave"
● Unified Inbox:
When you receive an sms it will automatically shown in hike. If you don't want this feature turn off it from Settings-SMS Settings.
● Block Unwanted Persons:
Block unwanted contacts from Settings-Privacy and then "Blocked List" Add contacts to block them.
