8 Windows 8 Tablets to Watch

Well, we all know Microsoft is pretty slow in catching up in the mobile world but there is a reason why my blog has focus on the giant company even though there has been much better progress in Apple and Google. 

The company has got their act right with the launching of Windows Phone OS. And I believe Microsoft is heading to the right direction with Windows 8. Hopefully, I'm not being too optimistic. 

Nevertheless, there are 8 Windows 8 tablets to watch....iPad, you've found yourselves new competitors...

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 features a Clover Trail Intel Atom processor, 10.1-inch screen, 3G and 4G connectivity options, HDMI and USB ports and runs Windows 8 Pro. Pricing was not announced, but Lenovo’s new tablet will be available in October.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad Tablet 2 sounds promising and will likely be a solid choice if you’re thinking about getting a Windows 8 tablet. Lenovo products such as the original Android-powered ThinkPad Tablet and the IdeaPad U300S ultraportable regularly make PCWorld’s top 10 lists. 

And let's not forget Microsoft's own tablet, Microsoft’s Surface for Windows RT. The 10.6-inch slate features a microSD slot, USB 2.0, micro HD, and Office Home & Student 2013. Surface RT is available with 32GB or 64GB of storage. Processor type, RAM and screen resolution are unconfirmed. Microsoft said pricing will be in line with similar competing tablets. The device is expected to launch Oct. 26, the same day as Windows 8.

Asus Tablet 600

Asus in June showed off two tablets during the Computex trade show in Taiwan. The Asus 600 features a 10.1-inch Super IPS+ display with 1366-by-768 resolution, Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, NFC, included clamshell keyboard dock and Windows RT. Pricing and availability were not announced.

Asus’ second showing at Computex featured an 11.6-inch Super IPS+ display with 1366-by-768 resolution, Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, 64GB storage, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, NFC, included clamshell keyboard dock, Wacom stylus and Windows 8. The Asus 810. Pricing and availability were not announced.

The HP Slate 8 is also another tablet that many will be looking for from HP. It’s not clear what the final tablet will look like, but purported leaked specs in April claimed the device would feature a 10.1-inch display, Clover Trail Atom processor and Windows 8 Pro.

Samsung is also another partner with Microsoft....
Samsung at Computex in June showed off the Samsung Series 5 Hybrid, but offered little in the way of specs. The device features an 11.6-inch display, Intel chip, front- and rear-facing cameras and a clamshell dock. The slate is still under development and subject to change.

Then, we have Dell.
Neowin in June reported it had access to confidential document from Dell detailing an upcoming Windows 8 slate called the Dell Latitude 10. The purported Dell tablet would feature a 10.1-inch display with 1366-by-768 resolution, minimum 1.5 GHz Clover Trail Atom processor, up to 128GB SSD storage, four USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, built-in mobile connectivity and a swappable battery. The Latitude 10 is slated for launch between mid-November and January 2013, Neowin says.

So far, most of the tablets have not announce the pricing. The tablet that is known of its pricing is the Q702. Fujitsu in early July unveiled the Stylistic Q702, a Windows 8-ready hybrid featuring an 11.6-inch AH-IPS display, Ivy Bridge Core i3 or i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB SSD, SUB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, front- and rear-facing cameras, clamshell keyboard dock and optional mobile connectivity. Since this tablet is “Windows 8 ready” it will come loaded with Windows 7, but is designed to work with Windows 8. If you buy the device before Jan. 31, 2013, you should be able to upgrade to Windows 8 for $15.
The Q702 will be available during the last three months of 2012 for $1,100.

Nokia Asha 306 Advantage Disadvantage

Nokia Asha 306 Disadvantage: Asha 306 is a good mobile phone yet it have some disadvantages.  I used this mobile for 20days and I faced several problems in this Asha 306. The Cons were

• First thing is it look like smartphone but its not so smart.
• Skype cannot be installed in this mobile. This is a great drawback because every one expect this app.
• It is given that Youtube streaming is possible in official Nokia site but I haven't seen youtube video loading in this mobile. It shows a message as - No Response Try Again.
• Resistive touchscreen is not the problem but they tried same swipe technique to navigate. This swipe technique is only good for capacitive touchscreen.
• Installing high memory games in this mobile makes lag.
• All the application opens with a short delay. You can feel this problem if you have tried any Android Smartphone. If this mobile is your first touchscreen mobile than this mobile looks great to you.
• No office application like Word. So you cannot run PPT too.
• Doesn't support PDF files. PDF support is much important according to me. They should have done it or atleast they may have provided apps for it. 
• Mobile looks lively but not attractive. 
• Mobile looks like soap box. Not so stylish. 
• They said there are 40 games for free but most of them were trial version.
• Doesn't support .sis apps. I think this mobile look like symbain and it supports symbian apps. Symbian apps were not supporting. 
• Map opens with much delay. It takes much time to load maps. //It works fine after loading//

Nokia Asha 306 Advantage:  This mobile has both good and bad stuffs. There may be so much disadvantages but this advantages may really going to impress you. Here I have listed out the Pros of Asha 306.

• First thing is Battery Backup. You wont believe the battery charge stands for above 24 hours. If you use this mobile only for calls and message with less usage then it lasts for 3 days.
• You can minimize your apps. Mobile with cost 4K wont have this facility.
• Many essentials apps were available for free in Nokia OVI store.
• Games were really fun. Installing small games doesn't affect the performance.  
• Whatsapp apps is available for Asha 306.
• You have pre-installed social networking apps and IM in this mobile.
• All pre-installed apps works fine.
• Music and Video player is really good supports all needed formats. Video formats supports such as AVI, MPEG 4, MWV and 3GPP. 
• FM record option is available. You can save your favorite songs in your mobile memory. 
• Wi-Fi connectivity works without bug. Nokia C3 mobile faced Wi-Fi bug but Asha 306 doesn't have that problem.

Windows Phone 7 sales gain improvement, a good indicator for Windows 8

If you think that Microsoft has done all the mistakes in their Windows Phone 7, think again. The company might just be in the right direction with the latest news from research firm Canalys. According to the report, there was a 277% of growth in sales during the second quarter although it is still far away from Android OS and the Apple iPhone.

This might just be a good start for Microsoft and Windows Phone 8 might just benefit from it.

Well, the release date is rumoured to be somewhere in November...are you going to get your hands on the new and refreshed effort by Microsoft....well, Windows Phone 7 has received all the positive reviews and that's what Microsoft needs....so far, it seems like they are heading the right direction...

I couldn't wait to get my hands on one of that devices...
