How To Use Android Device Manager To Setup Remote Factory Reset & Remote Lock

Android Device Manager is a security service developed by Google for Android.  ADM will help you to track your lost device and to safe the important data on device. To enable this security on your device just follow this steps given below:

• To activate ADM on your device open the "Google Settings" app from your device menu.

• Now select Android Device Manager then mark to "Remotely Locate this device".This option will help to track the location of the device.

• Mark the option "Allow Remote lock & factory reset"

• Now "Activate" Android Device Manager with Administrator permission.

How to use Android Device Manager:

Just log on to ADM website with your Gmail Id.
www.google.com/android/devicemanager

Here you will see following options:

• You can track the current location of the device

• If you are thinking that your device is near to you then you can "Ring" it from here. To off ringing user have to press "Power Button" of the device.

• You can set password remotely to your device to protect from missuses of your valuable data.

• If you are sure that you don't get back your device then you can erase all the data stored  on your phone storage. Use "Erase" option to remote factory reset. This option can work in case of "Switched Off" device also so don't worry. When the device will ON, it automatically resets. Note that it don't format the data on the external SD card. 1. Use "https:// when you log in on a website

2. Don't forget to "logout" when you have completed your work

3. Lock your computer when you don't use it

4. You may Disconnect the internet connection when you don't need it

5. When you send one email to more than one person use B.C.C(Blind Carbon Copy) it hides the names of other recepients and shows only your email id to each receipient

6. While using Social Networks:
Don't share your personal information in your profiles like. Address.
Use privacy settings to protect your account.

7. Always clear cookies after browsing. Because mostly hackers use this cookies to hack your account

Tips For Choosing Secure Password

1. Use atleast 8 character long password
2. Dont use your usernane as password
3. Dont use your mobile number as a password
4. Use Alphanumeric password which contains Alphabates and Numbers
5. Use such password that difficult to guss for others
6. Dont write your password anywhere
7. Choose such password that is easy to remember for you and difficult to guss other peoples
8. Don't share your password with anyone.
