LG SPLENDOR US730 REVIEW
LG US has launched a new phone LG Splendor and it will soon be heading to US Cellular. This new phone which is powered by icecream Sandwich, is a CDMA handset which is yet another phone by LG which has sleek design, almost looks like the optimus L7. The handset sports a 4.3-inch IPS display with an 800x480-pixel resolution and 450 nits of brightness. Though these specs aren't as impressive as those of other phones, like the LG Optimus 4X HD, the screen is still decent in its own right. App icons were crisp, text was sharp, and colors were vivid at maximum brightness. Although gradient patterns looked somewhat streaky, on the whole, images were rich and highly saturated. The internal storage of this LG handset is 4 GB whereas the extended memory option is up to 32 GB and the phone includes a 4 GB memory card. The internal storage is very adequate; 4 GB is enough for storing images, videos, sound clips and other important documents. In case the internal memory is less, the user can easily avail the memory card storage. The price package including a 4 GB memory card is a bumper deal. For internet access the phone has GPRS, WLAN. These are a couple of useful features for staying in touch with the global village anywhere anytime. The camera is also an excellent example of quality; the camera is 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels along with autofocus feature and LED flash. Overall, the phone is almost a perfect phone in all aspects. Almost perfect phone because the processor is 1 GHz Scorpion. The processor should have been at least 1.4 GHz because the 1 GHz processor is relatively slower and does not support full multitasking. Starting with the weight of the LG handset, it weighs 120g; the weight is ideal with all the features of this mobile. 120g is a moderate weight in all senses. With a glitzing touch screen, the handset overtures Touch sensitive controls as well. Above the display in the right corner is a proximity sensor and to the left is a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Below is a physical home button, with a back and menu front key on either side of it that light up when in use. At back center is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. Below that to the left are two small slits for the output speaker. Unlike most devices, the Splendor doesn't have an indentation to make it easy to pry off the back of the handset. Instead, you'll have to just insert your fingernails anywhere within the seams of the back plate. Once you remove it, you can access the microSD slot, SIM card, and 1,700mAh battery. U.S. Cellular's LG Splendor is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device with a zippy processor, a bright display, and a thin build.
