Nokia N70

NOKIA N70 REVIEW

Nokia N70 is a smartphone released at 2005 and is one of the first phones seen in the first release of NSeries line of "multimedia computers" by Nokia. It is a smartphone that comes with S60 2nd Edition FP3 interface or Symbian OS. Since it comes with an OS, multi-tasking is possible. The physical appearance of the Nokia N70 is quite good. It is a small candybar style phone. Since it was a small device, the keys in this phone are made smaller compared to its predecessor, the Nokia 6680. The most notable problem in the keypad is the placement of the "2" key. The "2" key is placed closed to the down navigation key and it means that you might experience some accidental key press especially during typing in the keypad. On the right side of the phone, you'll find a RS-MMC card slot and a shutter button. The RS-MMC card slot can be hard to open for those people who have small nails. The shutter key is small and it is quite difficult to press. On the top of the phone you'll find a power button and a stereo loudspeaker. The power button is very small and if you've used Nokia 6680 before, you'll find it very difficult to press. The loudspeaker produces superior quality especially when playing songs using the Music Player. On the back, you'll find a 2 Megapixel Fixed Focus Camera with an LED flash. The camera outputs good quality in normal lighting situations and average quality in low-lighting conditions. The N70 is an unassuming handset. No flashes of bright colour, no twisty swivels, no oddly shaped buttons or curvy design. But the 640x480-pixel resolution front camera gives away the N70's 3G pretensions. To get to the main 2-megapixel camera you have to slide a very large plastic cover, which consumes around three quarters of the back of the casing, and is heavily disguised as a design feature.
