Micromax Canvas Fun A63 vs Samsung Galaxy Star Pro

Samsung has released Galaxy Star Pro which is quite affordable in order to chanllenge the growing dominance of Micromax. Lets see how it compares with the recently launches Micromax Canvas Fun A63.

Operating System

Galaxy Star Pro runs Android jellybean 4.1 whereas canvas Fun A63 runs JellyBean 4.2 which of-course is more latest and has improvements over Jellybean 4.1.

Chipset

Galaxy Star has got single core 1GHz Cortex-A5 processor under the hood, whilst Fun A63 has 1.3 Ghz MTK 6572 dual core processor. So more power, smoother user interface and execution of apps.

Camera

Both the devices have 2 MP rear camera, but Fun A63 has also got a front facing camera. Helps you take self shots and do video calling.

Battery 

Again both devices house 1500mAh battery. But Galaxy Star manages to give talktime of 15hrs and standby time of 370hrs whilst Fun A63 gives just 4 hrs of talktime and 135hrs of standby time.This would be mainly because Canvas Fun has a more powerful processor but still this is the weakest point of the device.

Canvas Fun A63 has got 1GB internal memory for apps installation and  1GB for mass storage. Galaxy Star Pro has 4GB internal memory which includes the space taken by the operating system. RAM is 512MB and memory can be expanded to 32GB with micro-sd card on both the devices.

Connectivity

Canvas Fun has 3G connectivity and Galaxy Star Pro lacks this feature which is a big drawback of the device. Wifi and Blueooth are present on both.

Micromax Canvas Fun A63 is available at Flipkart for Rs. 6878 while Samsung galaxy Star is available at Homeshop18 for Rs.6989.

Final Winner

Canvas Fun A63 clearly wins the compitition. Its only con is it less battery backup. But Galaxy Star pro lacks 3G connectivity and powerful processor which makes quite a big difference. What do you think guys? Whats your choice?
