Micromax Ranks #3 in Data Card Shipments

According to CMR's india data card Market review 1.83 million Data Cards were shipped in India  in Q3 2013.

Faisal Kawoosa, Lead Analyst, CMR Telecoms Practice said,

There has been a significant decline in overall data card shipments on a yearly basis, mainly because of declining shipments of CDMA data cards. On the other hand, the high growth rate of GSM data cards is on account of fast increasing shipments of HSDPA 14.4, HSDPA+ 21.6 and LTE 100 data cards.

So overall Micromax ranks #3 in data card market owning 14.2% market share, but ranks #2 in rapidly growing GSM data card market with 20.7% share.

The internet demand of the users is rapidly increasing and hence is the consumption of data cards, rather mainly GSM data cards are luring customers due to recent developments in 3G and LTE (Long Term Evolution) technologies.
